Gourmet Plate? Caregivers Plate? Bariatric plate? WLS plate? Alzheimer's plate?...

Gourmet Plate or Caregiving plate? See the specifications and decide for yourself

This is our new improved model (above)

It does not look like a caregiver plate; those normally look like baby dishes that you have
to fill with hot water, adults hate them and don't work very well anyway

One minute in the microwave, handle safely with the bare hands

HotSmart plates were conceived as Gourmet plates to enjoy hot food (Caregivers discovered them).
Caregiver plate? Bariatric plate? WLS plate? You can call it either way; the fact is that it is a "heat retenive plate" capable of remaining still hot after 30+ mins. and it was designed to enjoy hot food. It needs only one minute preheating in the microwave oven and can be handled safely with the bare hands by the rim which does not get hot.

HotSmart plates are now selling through Amazon.com and are being shipped all over the USA; originally designed simply to enjoy hot food, but eating slowly helps to avoid overeating by getting satisfied with less food. The brain needs about 20 minutes to get the signal that we are not hungry anymore.
In order to acquire the healthy habit of eating slowly you need to make it a pleasant experience (Eating cold food is not pleasant). Keep your food hot and your brain will register the pleasant experience and with practice you will acquire the habit (Otherwise you will be discouraged). Google HotSmart

Update January 2010:
HotSmart plates have been also discovered by caregivers, so it is now not only the best Gourmet plate you can buy but it can also be used as (I think I'd better make a list):
  • Gourmet plate (First and foremost; designed to enjoy food)
  • WLS plate
  • ALS plate
  • Alzheimer's plate
  • Caregiver's plate (Caregiving plate)
  • Keep Warm plate
  • Bariatric plate
  • Parkinson's plate
You may ask: then, what is the niche for this plate? Well, Everybody uses plates and everybody likes hot food, also Many people like to eat slowly and enjoy their food, others are convinced that eating slowly avoids overeating, some have to eat slowly and their food is getting cold, etc.

Take a look at the feed back we are getting from our customers in Amazon.com feedback

Will you please RT for your family and friends?
